About El Pollo Loco
The chain was founded in 1975 by Juan Francisco Ochoa in Guasave, Sinaloa, Mexico. Ochoa’s vision was to create a restaurant that served the best flame-grilled chicken in town, and he succeeded. The restaurant became so popular that he opened a second location in nearby Culiacán.
